District Profile - Bijapur

Bijapur district is situated on the northern corner of the state and is historically famous.  This district is also a famous religious place and Sri. Jagajyothi Basavanna is in every ones mind and soul. River Krishna flows towards south and Bhima river flows towards north.  Pomegranate, Lemon, Onion are the important crops.  The farmers are known for quality production of horticultural produce and are exporting their produce to other states (Grapes, Promegranate, Lemon, Hadagali Jasmine).
